The Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence Act
We ensure that AI and digital tools work for you, not against you.
What it includes:
- The Digital Front Door: One secure, unified portal to access all government services.
- Digital Sovereign ID: A secure, private digital identity that you own, giving you control over your personal data.
- AI for the People: Using automation to eliminate government “busy work” (like FOIA delays) while protecting jobs for displaced workers through the Federal Job Guarantee.
- Algorithmic Transparency: If a government AI makes a decision about your benefits or taxes, you have the right to know how and why.
- Platform Curation & Attention Pollution Rules: Require large social media platforms (reaching >10% of the U.S. population) to make non-algorithmic, chronological feeds the default, with algorithmic feeds as an opt-in. Treat algorithmic outrage-amplification as an economic externality (“attention pollution”), establishing regulatory compliance costs for platforms that systematically amplify divisive content.
- Structured Digital Deliberation: Integrate digital town halls (modeled on Taiwan’s vPol/Polis system) into federal rulemaking, using consensus-seeking algorithms to help citizens find common ground instead of division.
- Algorithmic Liability for Foreign Interference: Tech platforms lose liability protection if they amplify foreign state-sponsored bot networks, stopping algorithmic warfare.
